For over 20 years the two principal partners, Jeffrey Jacobs and Lawrence Goodfriend, have grown the firm and its reputation.
Goodfriend & Jacobs solely represents high net-worth clients and companies in the fields of entertainment, sports, and music.
Jeffrey Jacobs, CPA
Jeff is the co-managing partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs. Jeff is a CPA and has over 25 years of professional experience in the tax and financial services industries, advising high-net-worth clients on a variety of financial planning, investment, and tax-related issues.
Jeff is also a managing director with Miracle Mile Advisors, providing investment advice to his business management clients.
Jeffrey Jacobs, CPA
Jeff is the co-managing partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs. Jeff is a CPA and has over 25 years of professional experience in the tax and financial services industries, advising high net-worth clients on a variety of financial planning, investment, and tax-related issues.
Jeff is also a managing director with Miracle Mile Advisors, providing investment advice to his business management clients.
Prior to founding Goodfriend & Jacobs, Jeff was the principal owner and founder of Jacobs Management Group, Inc. and previously served as the tax manager at International Business Management, Inc., both companies servicing the financial, tax, and investment needs of high net-worth clients in the entertainment industry.
Jeff earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the California Society of CPAs and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 and 3 securities licenses
When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, swimming, reading, writing and playing music, and the occasional music festival.
Lawrence Goodfriend, CPA
Lawrence is the co-managing partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs, with over 25 years of professional experience in the tax and financial services industries, advising high net-worth clients on a variety of financial planning, investment, and tax-related issues.
He is also a managing director with Miracle Mile Advisors, providing investment advice to his business management clients.

Prior to founding Goodfriend & Jacobs, Lawrence was a principal at Goodfriend & Associates, CPAs (which he merged into Goodfriend & Jacobs). Lawrence started his career at a large CPA firm specializing in real estate.
Lawrence earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from San Diego State University, along with a minor in Japanese Language Studies. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the California Society of CPAs and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 and 3 securities licenses.
Lawrence enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, reading, surfing, and skiing.
Kyle Breslow, CPA
Kyle Breslow is a CPA and partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs. Kyle has a background in entertainment taxation and business management. Kyle is also a director with Miracle Mile Advisors providing investment advice to his business management clients.
As a graduate of Cal Poly SLO, he began his career auditing financial statements of public companies with Grant Thornton in San Francisco. He then became a financial controller and eventually transitioned to business management, running a tax department for a small business management firm. It was during this time that he discovered his love of helping entertainment clients with their finances.
Kyle Breslow is a CPA and partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs. Kyle has a background in entertainment taxation and business management. Kyle is also a director with Miracle Mile Advisors providing investment advice to his business management clients.

According to Kyle, “When you’re working closely with a client’s finances, it’s important to know your client intimately and always have your finger on the pulse in terms of where they are at and what they need to be doing to achieve their goals.”

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, including Mt. Whitney and the Grand Canyon, with his wife, playing tennis, or watching Shark Tank while pretending he is the fifth shark.
David Bleeck, CPA
David is a CPA and partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs and has spent over a decade in entertainment business management and taxation. David is also a director with Miracle Mile Advisors providing investment advice to his business management clients. Prior to joining Goodfriend & Jacobs, David worked at an international entertainment business management firm in Los Angeles, servicing clients in the music, film, tv, and new media content industries.
David is a CPA and partner at Goodfriend & Jacobs and has spent over a decade in entertainment business management and taxation. David is also a director with Miracle Mile Advisors providing investment advice to his business management clients. Prior to joining Goodfriend & Jacobs, David worked at an international entertainment business management firm in Los Angeles, servicing clients in the music, film, tv, and new media content industries.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from California State University Northridge.
David started his career at a Los Angeles–based CPA firm in the audit and assurance department, spending several years completing financial statement audits and reviews of mid-size, privately held businesses in various industries and the nonprofit sector.
David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 securities license. He is an active member of the SDSU Aztec Mentor Program and served in the United States Peace Corps.
Rick Valdez , CFP®
Rick is a CPA CFP and senior manager at Goodfriend & Jacobs. Rick had been with the firm for over a decade and has over 30 years of experience in business management. A primary focus for Rick had been helping individuals working in the film and television business.
